Aug. 5 & 6, 2006

The annual Studio and Gallery Tour is organized by the Spanish Peaks Arts Council to showcase local artists and galleries.  The free event is a way to let non-artists learn how art is generated as well as provide opportunities to purchase original art.  Many of the studios will have special offers, bargains, and some artists will demonstrate their techniques and provide refreshments.

Maps showing the locations of the artists and galleries in the tour, plus directions, will be available at the SPACe Gallery in the park, 132 W. Ryus, across from the Ryus Ave. Bakery in La Veta during the week prior to the tour as well as on Aug. 5 & 6.

Participants in the 2006 Studio and Gallery Tour will include individual artists Sherri Bakeman, Robert Buckner, Ann Gethen, Kathy Hill, Jeannette Sheehan, La Claire Skaggs, Janey Waldrep, Pat Newell, Carol Putnam, Barbara Kowalik, J. Patterson, Bill Reinking and the following galleries: The SPACe Gallery, La Veta Fine Art Gallery (Joan Hanley), Twila StaR Gallery, Tims Art Quilt Gallery, Piñon Hill Pottery (Nicole Copal) and others
