Guests at the reception study the artwork and enjoy the abundant refreshments.

Clymer had samples of various works in progress that were passed around the group.

 

 

Best of Show- "Battle Cry" by Liana Bennett - Mixed Media

 The judge for the show was Albert Anderson Clymer. To read about Albert Clymer, click here. Clymer gave a demonstration of his painting technique outside the SPACe Gallery prior to the reception on July 14. Here are some pictures of the delightful event.

Clymer applies paint to a prepared board.

Then he begins to spread and mix the paints with paper towels.

After blending the acrylic paints with paper towels, he adds water and lets the various media mix as he tips the board.

Here is a close up of the wet paints and water. He then lets the mix dry before he adds his signature Native American figures. In this example, he has applied paint with a brush to prepare the sky for the figures.
