	Enjoy the original paintings and photos of places, residents, and views in La Veta by 20 area artists, including fiber artwork by Judith Baker Montano. Voted winner of the People's Choice Ribbon at the Opening Reception: "Alta Vida La Veta"
"The Old Carver Place" by Judith Baker Montano	Judith Baker Montano has created the wall hanging "Alta Vida La Veta" (above) by taking dozens of photos of unique structures in La Veta, then creating watercolor paintings from the photos. She then scanned each watercolor into her computer and printed the images on silk which she incorporated in the patchwork montage. Also included in the piece are bits of fabric designed by Baker Montano, as well as her uniquely expressive stitchery. Her original watercolors will be shown at the opening reception for the "Looking at La Veta" show June 9. Here are samples from "Alta Vida La Veta":
