In 2008, CAW students
will investigate the concept of "Parts of the Whole". This theme will be
explored through various media including clay, photography, puzzles,
movement, and assemblage. The children will be in groups with others who are
approximately the same age. Content level is geared to the unique interests,
needs, and abilities of each group. Our goal is to provide a hands-on
experience of the patterns, elements, and components that come together to
create more holistic artworks. We will notice the order in which artworks
evolve and how that is important.
Looking beyond just "parts" to see patterns and
ultimately the "bigger picture", we strive to provide an in-depth experience
that nurtures the artist, the careful observer, and the creative problem
solver in each child. Bring your own unique curiosity and wonder! The
children will be grouped by ages 5-8, and 9-12 years old.

Dates for CAW in 2008 are July 7 - 11, and July 14 &
15 with the art show on July 16. Times will be 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. each day.
Please plan for your child to be present for the entire session; they won't
want to miss any part of it!
