Wind, Sand, and Stars

My work describes my love of unusual materials and techniques. I enjoy pushing beyond... beyond the paint, beyond the simple use of paintbrushes, beyond the two-dimensional piece of paper and into the world of the unexpected.
My imagery is strongly influenced by Asian brushwork, music, mood and patterns in nature. My process is intuitive and gestural. It illustrates the sheer joy I experience as I create.

One of the most important elements in my work is how it interacts with the immediate environment through transparency and by creating shadows or reflections. In this way, my pieces remain alive - always changing and evolving beyond the static.
