Nancy has an exceptional award, show, and workshop record. She lives in Erie, Colorado where she is a studio artist and fires her salt kilns. Nancy is also the director of the historic Firehouse Ceramic Studio in nearby Boulder, Colorado. Her artwork is currently sold in galleries across the country and from her own show room. She has exhibited widely including the Colorado Clay exhibition, La Mesa – Art for the Table, and The Northwest Women’s Wood Fire Exhibition. Most recently she was a conference presenter at the National Council on the Education of Ceramic Art in 2010 and has written articles published in Ceramics Monthly, and The Studio Potter. Make your own seed balls! A mixture of clay, flower seeds, and soil to make little clay birds. Take a clay bird and make a new one to leave for someone else. These lovely birds made with unfired clay are hollow inside and contain seed balls. They can either be placed in the ground to await nature’s moisture to release the seeds or may be broken to speed up the process.
