Ann Gethen was born in England and has lived in America for over 40 years. Her studies have been self-directed with help from professional teachers to form a sound artistic background.
Landscapes in oil are Gethen’s main love as well as the wildflowers that cover the meadows around her mountain retreat. However, she also works in watercolor and does some etchings of the plants.
Her talents include teaching workshops, publishing her book “Rocky Mountain Wildflowers, An Artists Collection” with her own illustrations, and volunteering her expertise to SPACe, including managing the construction of the new addition.
Her work is in several corporate and bank collections and in homes around the world.
In addition to England, Gethen has lived in Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles and Wichita before settling in Colorado.
