Learn about Huerfano resident Tom Northup’s vision of an astronomical park outside of La Veta. In the works since 2008, Tom has worked to bring this dream to fruition on land gifted for the park. Telescopes are available to check out at the La Veta Library. Discover the night skies!

The Astronomical Park west of La Veta, developed and owned by the Southern Colorado Astronomical Society (SCAS) envisions 100 observatories on its site for members to enjoy.
