*TIPS for creating digital images

  1. Remove artwork from frame (unless it is framed with nonglare, nonreflective glass)  2. Secure artwork to a wall at your eye level.  3. Using a digital camera, stand at least 5 feet away and zoom in to fill the viewfinder, eliminating as much background or framing materials as possible. If you have access to a photo program that lets you crop pictures, crop out everything except your artwork. Since the images will be viewed on a screen, rather than printed, the resolution should be based on 72 DPI (Dots per inch) and measure at least 1200 pixels on the longest side. Images should be saved as jpeg images. 4. Save the images with the title and your first and last name.  5. Attach to an email to SPACe, or sign up as an artist on Call For Entries.org (CaFE) and upload the images to CaFE.  If not using CaFE, you will have to complete an entry form to be mailed to SPACe with your entry fee, received before May 15.
