Watercolor Painting Workshop

Learn to loosen up while preserving your love of detail. Watercolor’s natural spontaneity can free to you to enjoy the serendipitous while manipulating the medium for your own purposes. Basic watercolor techniques as well as how to build strong compositions, using color temperatures and understanding values will be included.
This workshop will let you work with watercolor paints creating a landscape painting from a photo. Techniques for success with watercolors are the primary focus. Please register in advance. Class size will be limited. Ages 16 and up. For more information please call Kathy at 719 742-5756.
Kathy Hill studied painting at the University of Illinois College of Fine and Applied Arts in Champaign-Urbana, graduating from the American University, Washington D.C. with a BA in Art Education. Her love of the Spanish Peaks region can be seen in her many watercolors of the area. She has received numerous awards and her work is included in many private and corporate collections.
