Gallery Building Changes
The Gallery building of the Spanish Peaks Arts Council got a facelift in 2005. The first phase of the “facelift” was new stucco. The second phase was the scraping off the peeling paint from the window frames and vegas, and repainting them. Here are some pictures from that project, done entirely by volunteers

It proved to be a perfect day for the task. Somewhat cloudy and cool while the scraping was being done, then sunny when it came time to paint. We were accosted by millions of “dobie” bugs–they’re everywhere, including on the paint. (This is just the lid….they weren’t really in the paint!) Thanks again to Ann Gethen for painting the lovely flowers for the window shades, and to Mary Jean Fowler for purchasing, cutting and sewing the shades.
